Smowmobiling in Southern Ontario
Twenty years ago we would have said snowmobiling started in a line from London to Niagara Falls but our climate is warmer now. The line starts from Mt. Forest to Peterborough and north. From Mt. Forest or Peterborough and to Lions Head or Parry Sound the winters can be hit and miss. Best time to go snowmobiling is January and February. See www.Wiaron.ca or www.OwenSound.org or www.ParrySound.net for weather details

Snowmobiling in Northern Ontario
Now we are talking about cold and snow.  From mid December to Mid March the weather is normally cold in North Bay or Sudbury and north. Many snowmobilers will plan their vacation in this area. A few winter accommodations in this area are Chalet Casamia Private Cottage south of North Bay, West Nipissing Resort Private Cottage on Lake Nipissing, Rail Road Motel Inn in Chapleau, and Bristol Motel in Wawa.
