| | Beaches | In the spring Lake Huron and Georgian Bay waters are cold but if the spring has been warm by the end of May the inland lakes can be nice for swimming. Here is a list of some of the places you can go to and cool off. North side of Berford Lake - location - north of Wiarton - nice park & beach, east side Arran lake - location - east of Southampton - nice park & poor beach, south west side of William's Lake - location - east of Williamsford - small park & nice beach. If you know of more beaches can you let us know of the location.

| Fishing | The early spring after the ice has gone out is by far the best time to catch Salmon in Owen Sound Bay. The Salmon sit on the bottom from Thompsons Hole to Balmy Beach and over to Paynter's Bay and back to Thompsons Hole. Troll slow about 5 feet from the bottom with body baits that look like Chad. The fishing stays very good until the water warms up usually by the end of May or June. The Salmon then start to move north.
