St. Jacobs is one of the more interesting villages in Ontario. This is where many of the old styles of crafts people and fabricators can be found. Many let you watch them work. There is also a huge amount of antique shops and stores that have replacement parts for your hundred-year-old house. The silo stores are worth the trip.
There is also a trail between the river and the cannel that runs to the mill.
