Expensive is optional. You can spend 1 dollar for one hour parking about half a mile from the falls or $10 close to the falls. This is all you really must spend.
We parked about half a mile from the Niagara Fallsview Casino. We walked to the Casino, Niagara Falls, and to the Tourist part of town. Our tour was in the spring around 9:30 after a rain. In the summer expect a large crowd. It took us around four hours with lots of stops.
