Bruce Peninsula Visitor Centre and Hiking Trails photo tour
Bruce Peninsula and Fathom Five Visitor Centre is new to the Bruce Peninsula. Here you can learn a lot about the area. Note: There are trained university students that know what to say but don't really know some important details. Example: There were two caves we wanted to visit. The first cave they forgot to mention you could only get to it by water. The second cave system they told me to go along the beach instead of the Bruce Trail. This was right except they didn't mention that the caves are close to where the beach starts. I found then on the way back. The building is quite nice.
Hiking to water on the main trail is quite easy. Some of the best views are from the Bruce Trail site loop which is a little rough. Most of the trail is through an interesting cedar bush. The shore is rocky but not overly exciting. One thing to notice is how water has devolved the softer stone to make interesting holes in the rock.
There is a 150' viewing tower that has a good view of the area although it is a little far from the water.
You can leave your car and hike to this area from the fiery in Tobermory. If you have a bike you could rush a round trip in under an hour.
